SLUM DOG MILLIONAIRE: THE UGLY FACE OF INDIA



Though it is a well made movie..and all great music ,screenplay, characters...but we must realise that what has won us an oscar has obviously exposed the ugly and to some extent a real face of india.The slums of Dharavi in Mumbai..and the slums of Delhi.....life is just living for the day here.The lack of basic amenities , basic infrastrucure, atrocities on children.....and the fight to earn your living. We ,the Indians must make an endeavour to make india shining and contribute whatsoever little we can contribute on our part.If we improve our surroundings , we definitely improve our INDIA.

I would rather disagree about SDM projecting india in bad light infact it allows us to carry out introspection,how many of us were aware about tha same before the movie,i agree with the content that we all sud make the difference in projecting india shining,it is well said that wearing better clothes doesnt change the inside/soul of a human, simmilarily India ll shine only when we have better lives and facilities provided to the areas like slums as featured in the movie.

Last evening ,I was watching india TV as that is the only channel available to me to be in touch with my nation,and the subject was about DELHI STRING BLASTS ,the thing which pained me was that they firstly revealed the identity of the boy who they claimed has seen the terrorist, without realising that they are putting his life in immense threat, because as u see if the terrorist can strike such secure zones, is it difficult for them to target this young boy who is claimed to be eyewitness of the incident. Secondly when they are are showing terrorists, they try to encrypt their faces but why not this boy.Why put somebody's life in danger just for sensationalizing the news.......Govt must do some thing about it as freedom of media does not mean irresponsibility and immature reporting. i daily watch india tv it serves you with every thing else than news......i am just surprised that Rajat sharma who at one time was such a mature and sensible reporter how can he drool down to such a ...
